Christmas Decoration 2020 of Shopping Mall in Kuching

Christmas celebration is near. As usual there is decoration in the Shopping Malls around Kuching. The year 2020 is a different year compared to previous years as 2020 is the year of the pandemic.

Nevertheless with movement control and restriction in the air, the Shopping Malls still offers great sensation with well decorated public areas in the Shopping Mall. Lets visit some of the well decorated malls in Kuching City.

tHe Spring Mall Kuching

tHe Spring Mall in Kuching is always the winner in Christmas decoration or any other forms of festive decorations in Kuching City if Shopping Mall is considered. They will never fail to amaze us with the most extravagance decoration which expands all direction of the Mall Atrium and public areas.

It had been said if you had to choose one Mall for your visits and photo taking during festive seasons while you are on your short tour, tHe Spring Mall is one of the top choice.

This year the Mall is decorated with extensive cottons and lighting, with an experience of snowing in the hot tropical Kuching.

Before entering the Shopping Mall, there is a 3 story tall Christmas tree at the front of the mall. The Christmas tree is well decorated with huge sized ornaments and fully lighted up by decorative lighting. This is the hot spot for everyone to take a photo with friends and family.

Trees are decorated from the main entrance towards the central mall atrium, featuring classical street lights, deer, snow mans, snow covered ground and shrubs and even a classical car on display.

The decoration doesn’t stop there as at the right (south) of the central atrium there is a special decoration area featuring decorated stalls selling Christmas gifts and cookies, and tall decorated buildings in western European style. Not to mention there is decorated horse carriage for photo taking. There is endless photography opportunity here.

Plaza Merdeka Mall Kuching

When talking about which is the premium mall beside the prime tourist location in Kuching, it will be the Plaza Merdeka Mall beside the Padang Merdeka. The mall is just located nearby various tourist hot spot including Indian Street, Sarawak Old Court house, the Square Fort, Darul Hana Bridge and Musical Fountain, and Kuching Waterfront.

The decoration at Plaza Merdeka is more simple and less ambitious than tHe Spring Mall. It do still cheer up the Christmas spirit.

Boulevard Shopping Mall Kuching

One of the more humble and classical shopping mall in Kuching is the Boulevard Shopping Mall. This may not be any of the top mall destination in Kuching city, but occasionally there is some small surprise within.

There is not much decoration here either, but just enough to tell others that Christmas is around the corner.
