Located at the prime area of Stampin, along the shoulder of busy Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho that connects City One Megamall and Jalan Song flyover, this humble yet prominent cafe is not to be missed. It is noticeable as a brick colored building beside the busy avenue, with a gated compound compromised of both UAM Auto Grooming Center and the G cafe.
The G cafe serve the local population from Stampin, Marbel Garden and many more commute from other areas. This fully air-conditioned cafe offered various variety of western and fusion foods, coffee and drinks. Occasionally there is special events and parties with invited guest and artist for live performances.
Due to its symbiotic relation with a automobile grooming center, this cafe can be a one stop resting and dining center while awaiting your car been groomed, polished and tinted. Although sharing a same gated compound, customers can have ample options place to park their car in front of the building or behind.
At the main entrance, you will notice the dark tinted glass double door at the ground floor. Upon opening the door, you will feel a cool breeze. The interior design follows a retro contemporary design, with various elements of western (london) influence.
The stairs leads to another dinning area at the first floor.
The walls in the dining area is decorated with magazine cuttings. The decorative incandescent light bulbs hanging down from the wooden decorated ceilings, creating a comfortable warm hues to the environment. The tables and chairs are mainly retro themed, with some of the chairs are modified from oil barrels.
Customers can enjoy dinning while indulge in the comfortable environment. The lighting is slightly dimmed in the interior most of the time. During the day, some natural lighting is allowed through the darkly tinted full height windows.
At the center of the masterpiece is a huge ordering counter and cashier. Customer need to takes two step stairs to reach the counter. Above the counter is a series of chalk drawn menu board, depicting all the available crusine from burger to pasta, tea to coffee. There is a cake counter displaying various cakes ranging from Oreo cheese cake, Tiramisu, Chocolate cakes etc.
The menu is clearly classified for easy ordering.
Ordering is very straight forward, and simple at the counter. Those with Teaspoon membership might get various discounts on purchases, depends on frequency of visits. Regular customers can get a better offer.
After order, customer can pick a seat at the various dinning area, either at the general themed or the retro themed area. Couples might prefer the quiet corner. Serving speeds depends on type of food ordered and the kitchen loads.
The environment is generally clean and tidy, many came here had good impressions about the environment.
This cafe is still rather new with much growing potential in the future as more and more new menu added to the list. Good and prompt service with acceptable waiting time. Comfortable environment and a good place for your Casual dining needs.
