The annual Kuching Festival and Food Fair 2022 is a celebration in conjunction with Kuching City Day. The three weeks long celebration is packed with Fun and Activities, Performance and Art, Music and Entertainment. The stage for the Kuching Festival spread around Kuching South City Council (MBKS) grounds. So, don’t miss it.

The Food Fair will be the main reason everyone near and far gather at the MBKS grounds as famous food from all around Kuching City and its near by town and villages, all come and have their food stalls here in one place. This year is unique in sense that the Yearly Kuching Food Fair had been delayed for 2 years since the pandemic lockdown in year 2020 and 2021. Everyone is so eager to come back but still have guarded perception of social distancing.

After the lapse of two years, Kuching Food Fair is back in year 2022 with a great attendance.

Do you know that : Kuching Festival is an annual event organised by Kuching South City Council (MBKS) to commemorate Kuching being elevated to City status on 1st August 1988. The festival is held annually to maintain part of the city’s plan to boost the local tourism and food industry.

Kuching Food Fair is a showcase of food and culture from near and far. Every stall is unique of its own, offering premium options of food that is unique to the community or the best selling food from their original shop. Everyone love to come to the food fair as this place is a truly all in one display of diversity of food culture in Kuching City.

Creativity have no limits when try to promoting the food being on sell. Some stalls have creative artworks while some have creative catch phrase to attract buyers.

Not only visitors can have freshly cooked food from the food fair, visitors can witness the preparation process of their chosen food. It is worth the wait while enjoying the chef preparing the food with their unique skills and cookware.

There are diversity in the food being offered at the Kuching Food Fair, ranging from all types of preparation from baked and roasted meats to iced desserts. It is so broad that you may need the three weeks to taste all the food being offered.

Other than Kuching Food Fair, there are many activities around the MBKS grounds. There are huge decorated gardens around MBKS grounds and having a main stage for daily performances.
