Wall Mural Official Launched Date : 7th June 2015, In conjunction with ‘Tourism Month of the Legend Kedah’. The tourism month was launched by Kedah Menteri Besar Mukhriz Mahathir at Tanjung Chali.The subsequent year 2016 is also the ‘Visit Kedah Year’.

We drop by Kedai Kopi Lor San and have a coffee before walk to the street behind the shop and enjoy the Mural Art.

Type : Huge wall painted mural art on a blank concrete wall. It was said hundred cans of Montana gold spray and Dulux Weathershield paint is used for the mural.

Size : Wall of Two Story High Building, Width of 30.48 meters.

Both the Petronas Twin Tower and Proton Saga is the sign of Modernization of Malaysia, which is created under ruling of the ‘Father of Modernization’ Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, during his post as the Malaysia’s 4th Prime Minister (16 July 1981 – 31 October 2003).

This place is picked as the perfect place for the Mural as Tun Dr Mahathir was also born and raised in Alor Setar, Kedah.

Petronas Twin Tower is a distinctive twin tower that is easily seen raise majestically above the Kuala Lumpur City skyline. The towers were constructed with reinforced concrete, and distinctive steel and glass facade which resemble Islamic art motifs. The construction was started on 1st April 1994, and the building was officially opened by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad on 31st August 1999. The twin towers is the sign of modernization of Malaysia.

The Proton Saga is widely credited as the first Malaysian Car. It is Proton’s flagship model. The Proton Saga Saloon was first launched on 9 July 1985.

Since the Mural is completed, many tourist came here to have a photo with the ‘Father of Modernization’. There is also locals doing pre-wedding shot here.
