Mega Hotel Miri is a 18-storey 4 star hotel located at the heart of Miri City with walking distance to various famous landmark, parks and shopping malls. With history of more than 25 years, Mega Hotel stays as an icon in Miri City long before Miri gets its city status. It is one of the tallest building at the heart of the city during its opening in 1994.
The hotel is easily recognized by its shining white and blue ceramic tile exterior. It is located beside the busy main road (Jalan Merbau) and be easily noticed at the city skyline.
Mega Hotel Miri is officially open on 12th December 1994 by Sarawak chief minister, Yang Amat Berhormat Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Haji Abdul Taib bin Mahmud.

Being a old hotel of more than 20 years history, it remains many of the unique design of a premium hotel in the early days. The floors and wall is decorated with marble tiles and the warm lighting with amazing hanging glass artwork. It had a felling of walking into the past.

It was a pleasant stay in Mega Hotel. Although it is not the most modern type of Hotel, it still feature the classic sense of the past. The building design also can be classed as best of luxury in 1994. It is a Hotel that is build when Miri is a Town, hence its location is pristine with close walking distance to various facility around the city.
Even up to now, there is several renovation effort being done to upgrade their rooms to serve their customer better. The luxury classic still stays in their flavor.
