Below is a video we took during the visit to this restaurant during the Chinese New Year 2018 celebration.

Finding the restaurant is not an easy walk in the park. It doesn’t located at any street or commercial district to ease recognization. However it was located in a farm land deep in the palm oil plantation. In short, you are really need to drive into a palm oil estate in order to reach the Restaurant.
The gravel road in the oil palm plantation leads to the Restaurant.
We were quite surprised on the fact that you need to drive quite a distance on a gravel road before you can reach the restaurant.
After you drive in from the Jalan Kulim-Mahang, the first section of the gravel road is rather straight forward. It is quite a sight to see rows and rows of oil palms on both side of the road. The oil palm trees provide good shade from the afternoon hot sun.

You will be lucky if you able to see the farmers herding the cows in the oil palm plantation. These cows do clear off the overgrown grass and bush from the plantation, at the same time provide fresh organic fertilizers to the plants.
After driving a distance, you will reach to a narrower road at the junction that leads to the restaurant. The tips is , follow the signboard.
Once you reach the main entrance, you will need to drive a distance before reaching the restaurant. Along the way you will pass by the poultry, cow, goat and sheep farm, then a spectacular open area for nursery of decorative trees and plants before you reach a open car park.
The fallen tree root remains is an art itself.
After finding a parking lot, we take our time strolling around the car park and walkways beside it. There is many spectacular potted plants and decorative ornaments.

The main entrance to the restaurant is an elaborately build wooden bridge house over a flowing stream. There are benches along the bridge house where you can have a seat and enjoy the sound of the stream passing by below you.

Along the flowing stream is several wooden hut. The hut is actually a specially designed dining area that allow visitor to enjoy the sound of the flowing stream while having meals. In the stream are river stone of various sizes, creating a close feel to nature.

When you want to dine in here, there is option of having your meals at the main restaurant building or having your meals at the classic dining hut beside the stream.
These dining huts are specially designed so that it blends well with the nature. The construction material is mainly wood, and the roof is covered with hay. While dining at the huts, you will hear the sound of the running stream besides you. However if you brought kids here, makesure your kids are with adults supervision and make sure they don’t climb over the wooden fence of the hut.

The main theme of this restaurant is “Sheep”. You can find many Sheep statues around the restaurant. No to forget that there is a Goat and Sheep farm within the compound of the premises. You can have a photo orportunity with both real sheeps and fake statue sheeps.
The white sheep have a good contrast with the green grass land and the beautiful ornamental trees. Do enjoy the scenery while having a meal at the restaurant. There is a hill beside the restaurant that also complement the scenery.

Other than common white wooly sheep statue, we are quite surprise to find fictional character – Shaun the Sheep – statue is found here. Instead being wooly white, Shaun the Sheep is covered with a dress of grass and lying down comfortably on a wooden table enjoying sun bathing. Remember to have a photos here.

After visiting the surrounding of the Restaurant, it is time to proceed to the main restaurant building. The main restaurant building is a single storey wood-concrete building with elegant decorations. It is wide and tall, good ambient lights and cool breeze is flowing from the nearby mountain.

It is safe to bring your children to this restaurant as the area is wide and there is various fun kid’s rides available. However make sure all kids are accompany by an adults while in the restaurant, as there are still danger when get too close to the ponds and nearby streams.
The restaurant is kids friendly too. There is a row of fun kid rides available beside the entrance.

There is also a special occasion room with air condition at the far end of the main building if you need to have an event here.

In keeping with chinese new year celebration, the path to public toilet is also nicely decorated.
The dish menu will varies according to season and demands. During our visits to the Restaurant, they offer Chinese New Year menu. The dish includes abalone “lau sang”, shark fin shoup, chicken and fish, vegetables and shark fin soup. Each dish brought good meanings in the naming of the dish.

After the meal, we proceed to the farm next to the restaurant. It is a few minutes walk away. The main reason that the farm is of some distance from the restaurant is because of the smell of the sheep and cow manure, which includes problems with flies.
However it is worth an education trip with the children to meet the farm animals close up. Children nowadays staying in cities far from farm and it is important to expose them to the farm world. This will educate them on how the food on the table came from.

The Goat and Sheep house is a rised pen with wooden floor. Do be extra careful while walk around as the floor might be slippery. The high pen is design to keep away predetors like snake and phyton eating the precious animals, and to ease collection of manure below the pen for fertilizer purposes.
There is various diffrent type of goat and sheep here. Some of the animals are specialise for mating and some are for milk and meat. There is a small area where all the males are kept and a nursery area where the young lambs are raised.
Some do complains about the smell and the flies, but it is part of the farm environment.
